There has always been a lot of discussion around the compressor remanufacturing industry concerning the difference between rebuilding and remanufacturing. Our definition of rebuilding is the opening of a compressor, replacement of obviously damaged parts and reassembly. Our definition of remanufacturing requires complete compressor disassembly, complete cleaning of all components followed by extensive examination to insure all components are within OEM tolerances prior to reassembly, or replaced.
